Peanut

This is Peanut - he's serving as the subject for my latest practice painting. He's a plush Pokemon "Mantyke" that I won from a claw game machine a few weeks ago. The grubs ([link]) have made him one of their own.

One of the best things about working at a big, high end game studio is I'm exposed to tons of really talented artists. I love watching them work and learning from them. I tried incorporating some of their techniques, like blending in additional colors together (like the green in the grey and the slight yellows on the blue) and leaving things kind of "chunky" and unrefined.
